Coffees from Brazil are not all the same. It's pretty common that folks think coffees from this country are low acid and tastes like chocolate covered peanut butter cereal. But, we're seeing more and more producers who are breaking that mold. José Adriano Neto is one of those guys who is changing perceptions. He's worked in coffee most of his life, but just a few years ago, ventured out on his own and started his own farm, Sítio Bom Começo (roughly translated: "the place of new beginnings") Within a few years, he was placing at the top of regional cupping competitions.
We feel like this coffee tastes more like a floral African or Central America coffee than any other Brazil we've had before. In the brew, you'll pick up flavor notes of Grape, Dried Fruit, and Fudge. There is a subtle acidity, and the finish will remind you of a freshly blooming garden. We are sure you've never had a coffee like this before.
