Finca Margarita is both a home of scientific research and coffee passion. Owned and operated by Mr. Heinz Hoffman, he originally purchased the farm as part of his experimental agricultural company. The farm itself was transitioned from sugar cane over to coffee in 1987. Heinz now operates a small micromill at the farm, which allows him to process his cherries. The lot we purchased from his farm is a natural process, which means that they dried the coffee beans inside of the cherry on raised beds. If you look at the pictures of the drying beds, you will notice the even drying of the coffee cherry - this processing takes much manual labor. But, when done with meticulous attention like Heinz showcases, the finished coffee is sweet, full-bodied, and complex.

In this selection, we taste notes of caramel with a finish of orange and cranberry.

*We roast all of our coffee to order. If we receive your online order on Monday or Tuesday before Midnight, we’ll ship it out by Thursday.  If you place your order after, (Wed-Sun), we’ll roast and ship it out to you the beginning of the following week.
