Bahia is one of the newest regions on Brazil to grow and produce coffee. This is the case with the coffee which comes from Nilson Aguilar’s estate in Ipicoara, Bahia. The region has higher altitudes (for Brazil) and warm climates, which is perfect for growing consistent coffee. The variety of this lot, Catuaí Vermelho 144, highlights the characteristics of this terroir, yielding an extremely sweet cup, with notes of cocoa, graham cracker, and sweet cherry acidity.
