The brilliant Ana Mustafa makes her return to our lineup with this brand new lot from Finca El Crucero. This is our second year working with Ana and La REB, and we are never disappointed when we have a cup. This lot (from an early 2019 harvest) is a single variety (Castillo) layered washed process, meaning different days and durations were mixed together to improve complexity in the cup. In the brew, we think you will taste a complex sweetness of cocoa and peach jam with a bright stone fruit and berry like acidity. It finishes off with a subtle hint of barrel-aged rum.
