Ethiopia coffees are often a favorite among specialty coffee drinkers. They effortlessly drink with florals, fruits, and complexities that are unique to the region. We’re happy to feature a new coffee from the Kolla Bolcha washing station in Oromia. It’s a region that’s relatively new to the coffee production scene. It’s a blend of small farmer lots that were pulped, fermented, washed, and dried at the Kolla Bolcha washing station (using a method similar to the washed coffees of Central America). In the brew, we taste notes of bright red currant and floral hops (like a lightly hopped sour beer). It has a complexity of citric, malic, and phosphoric acidity, and finishes with a sweet black tea-like finish. If you are into washed Ethiopian coffees, we recommend you check this one out. You won’t be disappointed.
*We roast all of our coffee to order. If we receive your online order on Monday or Tuesday before Midnight, we’ll ship it out by Thursday. If you place your order after, (Wed-Sun), we’ll roast and ship it out to you the beginning of the following week.
