Origin: Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia
Variety: Kurume, Heirloom
Tasting Notes: Apricot, Lime, Black Tea
The Reko washing station in Kochere, Yirgacheffe is one of the premiere processing stations in Ethiopia. The name Reko translates to "Challenge" from its local language, referring to the challenging slope of the nearby mountain with the same name. Our friends at Trabocca saw it in the care in cherry selection, processing, and lot separation. It may not mean much, but you'll taste the care in the finished coffee. This one sings of a typical Yirgacheffe profile, with lush stone fruit and tea like notes. You'll get hints of apricot, lime, and black tea.
*We roast all of our coffee to order. If we receive your online order on Monday or Tuesday before Midnight, we’ll ship it out by Thursday. If you place your order after, (Wed-Sun), we’ll roast and ship it out to you the beginning of the following week.
